All too often there are reports that someone has come across a discarded needle. When needles are found they are almost always used and contaminated with blood. Often there is a small amount of blood left inside, or viruses that you may not be able to detect, including Hepatitis B and C, and HIV, plus many other diseases. Therefore, it is important that the needle be safely collected and disposed of. If they are not properly disposed of, they could end up causing injury or permanent disease.
